About Soursop

  • What is soursop?

Soursop (also known as graviola, guanábana, or guyabano) is a tropical fruit native to the Caribbean, Central America, and parts of South America. It has spiky green skin and creamy white flesh with a unique flavor often described as a cross between strawberry, pineapple, and banana — with a smooth, custardy finish.

  • What does soursop taste like?

Creamy like a banana, tangy like a strawberry, sweet like a pineapple, with a smooth tropical finish all its own. Most people say their first sip tastes unlike anything they've had before — it's the kind of flavor that gets people hooked.

  • What are the benefits of soursop?

    Soursop is naturally rich in:

    • Vitamin C, polyphenols, and flavonoids — powerful antioxidants
    • Acetogenins — a unique class of plant compounds found almost exclusively in soursop
    • Dietary fiber — supports healthy digestion
    • Potassium and B vitamins — natural electrolytes and energy support

We don't make medical claims — soursop has been a wellness staple in Caribbean and tropical traditions for generations, and we're proud to bring it to your routine in its purest form.

  • Where does soursop grow?

Soursop is native to the tropics — primarily the Caribbean, Central and South America, and parts of West Africa and Southeast Asia. The fruit thrives in warm, humid climates and doesn't ship well fresh, which is why getting real, pulp-rich soursop in the U.S. has historically been so hard.

  • Is soursop the same as graviola?

Yes — soursop, graviola, guanábana, and guyabano all refer to the same fruit. The name simply varies by region and language.

The Product

  • What's in Sopreme juice?

Just one thing: 100% pure soursop juice with pulp. No added sugar. No concentrate. No "natural flavors." No preservatives. No artificial colors. No proprietary blends.

    That's it. That's the list.

  • Is there any added sugar?

None. Every bit of sweetness in Sopreme juice comes from the fruit itself. No refined sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no shortcuts.

  • Where do you source your soursop?

Our soursop is sourced directly from Caribbean growers using the whole fruit — pulp included. Small-batch processing keeps the flavor and the nutrition intact.

  • Is Sopreme vegan / non-GMO / kosher / gluten-free?

Yes to all. Sopreme juice, leaf tea, and bitters are vegan, non-GMO, kosher, low glycemic, gluten-free, and made in an FSSC 22000 certified facility.

  • What's the difference between the juice, tea, and bitters?

Juice — the fruit itself. 100% pure soursop with pulp, ready to drink, 12 fl oz cans. Daily hydration.

Leaf Tea — brewed from soursop leaves, not the fruit. Caffeine-free, smooth, earthy, calming. 15 tea bags per box.

Bitters — concentrated soursop liquid extract. A few drops at a time for a daily wellness ritual. Highly concentrated.

  • How should I store Sopreme juice?

Cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Once a can is opened, refrigerate and consume within 24 hours for best flavor. Unopened cans don't need refrigeration until you're ready to drink.

  • How long does it stay fresh?

Each can has a printed best-by date. Unopened cans typically stay fresh for 12–18 months from the production date when stored properly.

  • Does Sopreme contain caffeine?

The juice and bitters are naturally caffeine-free. The leaf tea is also caffeine-free — soursop leaves don't contain caffeine, unlike traditional tea leaves.

  • Is SOPREME a low-glycemic juice?

Our juice with pulp is glycemic tested and naturally rich in fiber and plant compounds that support a measured blood sugar response when enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.

  • Does SOPREME contain added sugar?

No. All sugar is naturally occurring from the soursop fruit itself.

  • Why does SOPREME have more sugar than other juices?

Soursop is naturally rich in intrinsic fruit sugars. SOPREME uses the whole fruit, not diluted juice or concentrates.

  • Is SOPREME diabetic-friendly?

SOPREME contains naturally occurring fruit sugars and fiber. Individuals managing blood sugar should consult their healthcare provider.

  • What is BRIX?

BRIX is a scientific measurement used by labs and regulators to confirm whether a juice is truly made from fruit. One degree BRIX equals one gram of naturally occurring soluble solids per 100 grams of juice — primarily intrinsic fruit sugars.

Every fruit has a natural BRIX range. If a juice falls outside that range, it raises red flags for dilution, added sugar, or concentrate.

You can read the full BRIX explainer on our Science page.

  • Does SOPREME meet the natural BRIX range for soursop?

Yes. SOPREME conforms to the natural BRIX range for authentic soursop fruit — confirming it is real, undiluted, 100% juice. Nothing added, nothing taken away.

  • Does a higher BRIX mean SOPREME has more sugar than other juices?

SOPREME's BRIX reflects the natural sugar content of whole, ripe soursop. Because we use the whole fruit — not diluted juice or concentrates — our BRIX matches what nature produces. The sugar is intrinsic to the fruit, paired with natural fiber and plant compounds that influence how it's absorbed.

  • How is BRIX measured?

BRIX is measured in a lab using a refractometer — an instrument that reads the concentration of dissolved solids in a liquid sample. Independent labs test every batch of SOPREME to verify authenticity and BRIX compliance before it ships.

  • What does BRIX testing actually confirm?

BRIX testing is used by the FDA and the juice industry to verify four things:

    • Authentic fruit identity — the juice actually came from the fruit on the label.
    • No dilution — nothing has been added to water it down.
    • No added sugars — no cane sugar, syrups, or sweeteners introduced.
    • No concentrates — the juice hasn't been condensed and rehydrated.
